Following our first Meet the Team article earlier this month when we introduced you to our Director, Jim McMeekin, we're looking behind the scenes this time.
The team at Champion is split between our two sites in Falkirk and Manchester, with payroll and back office staff situated at both. While some of these team members are not at the forefront of everything Champion, their contribution is as vital as those talking to our contractors and agency partners face to face.
One such person is our Operations Manager, Christie Easton.
Christie, who is based at our Falkirk office, joined Champion straight from university in 2018. After studying pure mathematics, the chance to work in an industry focused on figures was ideal.
Christie joined Champion Contractors as an Administrator and has subsequently developed an in-depth understanding of the industry and the systems and processes Champion uses.
Her role as Operations Manager now sees her as having complete responsibility for our critical legislative audit and compliance requirements. Christie is also tasked with ensuring that we continue to deliver and exceed our excellent levels of customer service, along with managing our operational administration, processes, systems, and efficiencies.
When asked for her thoughts on Champion Contractors as a business, Christie stated, “Champion Contractors genuinely cares about looking after its contractors and agency clients and always strives to provide a good and honest service. The team all share this belief, and because of this, we can all leave at the end of the day with a clear conscience, feeling satisfied that our contractors and agency clients trust our support.”
When she's not navigating the compliance maze of the umbrella sector, Christie can be found running or at the spin cycling class. Her passion for fitness and the outdoors also saw her complete the West Highland Way with her family last year.
And, as we know, it helps to be fit if you're a superhero.
